: BRITAIN DELIVERS MEDITERRANEAN GOODS LONDON. 11th October. A billiard table has been delivered to the Samagusta Club in Cyprus by its London makers, a tribute to the reI spect in which Italy holds Britain’s | Medit.errean Fleet. The makers have been exporting billiard tables for a century. One recenti iv recovered from a house in Scotland j was originally supplied to an English | j officers’ camp during the Crimean War. j ' ‘‘This table.” runs an inscription upon it, “was erected in Donybrook Fair English Camp. Crimea, in the winter of 1855.” ; During the present war the firm, j which is directed to-day by the fourth generation of its founders, has sent tables out to officers’ messes in Egypt and Palestine, and it continues to export to different parts of the world | full-size tables, replacements and ac- j j cessories.
