LATE PRIVATE F. A. RICKETTS ; | Many followers of Rugby football learned with regret of the death of Pri- | vale Frank A. Ricketts, of Nelson, as the result of an accident in Egypt. Pri- | v 'ate Ricketts joined the Nelson Footi ball Club as a member in 1930 and he always took a keen interest in the acti vities* of the club. As a player he was very popular. He played in the third 1 grade in 1931 and he went up through the junior grade to senior and on severjal occasions gained senior representa j five honours. For seven seasons he j took a prominent, part in coaching club i teams and he was also Third Grade selector and coach for the Nelson Rugby Union. When on his final leave last August he and his brother. Harry, who was also on final leave played for their old club which was experiencing difficulty in fielding teams on account of the large number of members who had joined the forces.
