Northern Ireland’s “war weapons wjek” yesterday passed the £5,000.000 mark which had been aimed at, the amount subscribed being- £5,105,540. The total in Britain’s war savings campaign last week was £108.109. This brings the grand total to £490,800,826. The Gold Coast Spitfire Fund has now re-ched £50,000. states the Ministry of Aircraft Production, while the South China “Morning Post” has sent a further £2OOO for the purchase of an aircraft. Northern Ireland’s War Weapons’ Week closed at noon at a total of £6,475,413—en0ugh to provide three destroyers in addition to the nine originally proposed.
