OLD BILL BEATS GAYEST SON SPRINT TO VASCONES [United Press Association] WOODVILLE, 7th December. The Woodville Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting was held in warm, showery weather. There was a good attendance, and the track was in good order. The totalisator turnover for the day was €15,893 10s, compared with £15.910 on the corresponding day last year, wl en single pool betting was the system. a decrease of £l6 10s. This was mainly due to the small field in the open spr*int, in which only five ran. two of them being bracketed. Results were:— Manga-Atua Hurdles Handicap, of £120; one mile and a half. —2-1 Dorado, Ix2 (Jenkins), 1: 6-5 Great Quex. 9.5 (Toki), 2; 8-8 Selkirk. 9.0 (Wright), 3. All started.
