INDIAN DEADLOCK
NEED FOR NEW APPROACH [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] LONDON. 7th December. “The Times," discussing the Indian deadlock, suggests that there is obvious need for a new approach to the problem, principally, though not entirely, from the Indian side. On the part of the British Government there should be a fuller explanation of the concessions which have been offered, and the interpretation should not again have to wait till Indian politicians have refused concessions which may not have been fully explained to them. “The Times” sees hope of a solution of the present deadlock in the movement of opinion in favour of compromise and settlement among the younger and fresher minds in Indian political life.
