PRICES AND CONDITIONS TO BE DISCUSSED » RASPBERRY MARKETING COMMITTEE SET UP In an interview at Motueka on Saturday, the Hon. P. C. Webb stated that he was unable to say at this juncture what the future arrangements were likely to be in connection with the marketing of fruit produced in the forthcoming season, but that no doubt growers would be interested to know that on Monday Mr Nash would be meeting the chairman of the Fruit Board, Mr H. E. Stephens, Mr T. C. Brash and Mr L. B. Robinson, of Motueka (chairman of the Nelson Fruitgrowers’ Advisory Committee) to discuss the prices and conditions for the forthcoming season. It was a matter of interest to the raspberry growers that the Raspberry Marketing Committee had been set up and had held its first meeting at Tapawera. The deliberations of this committee should result in benefiting the growers of raspberries. Furthermore it would give producers the control of raspberries for sale to manufacturers. There were two members from Motueka on the committee, namely. Messrs Llewellin Brothers. 3d.
