MOUTERE BRANCH OF W.D.F.U.
MONTHLY MEETING I The monthly meeting of the Moutera ! branch of the W.D.F.U. was held at Mrs | Beuke’s home in Neudorf and was well attended. The meeting opened with the Creed after which correspondence was dealt with. A community sing held in the Jubilee Hall during the month raised £ll 9s towards the Navy King and Queen fund. Arrangements were made for running the stewards’ tea booth also a pie stall at the Motueka Show. Competitions resulted : Christmas gift worth 2s. Mrs Coleman and Mrs Johnston (equal) 1: best six flowers. Mrs Beuke 1. Miss Cooper 2. Miss Beuke 3; third competition (oldest article in possession), Mrs Franklin 1. Mrs Bensemann 2. Mrs Coleman 3 Supper was served by Neudorf members and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mrs Beuke for her hospitality.
