SOLDIERS HONOURED Once again Dovedale residents turned out in full force to honour two more soldiers who have been home on leave. These two members of the second division of the fourth reinforcements were Private N. H. Win and Gunner E. N. Papps. The entertainment took the form of a dance, music for which was supplied by Mrs W. Smith, Miss E. Silcock and Mr E. Friend. Mr J. Fowler made a very efficient M.C. On behalf of the residents of the district presentations were mad.: to the two men by Mr H. Eyles who in the course of his speech told some amusing anecdotes of the last war. The guests of honour suitably responded. Private Win and Gunner Papps were also entertained by the local subbranch of the R.S.A.
