TERRITORIALS IN BALLOT
TRAINING FOR OVERSEAS SERVICE [From Our Own Parliamentary Reporter] WELLINGTON, This Day. Replying to an urgent question asked by Mr E. B. K. Gordon (National, Rangitikei) in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) made clear the obligations of Territorials drawn in the ballot for overseas service. These men, said the Minister, would enter camp in the ordinary way and undergo the usual training. Many of these men no doubt would become n.c.o.’s and thus be instructors for those without previous military training.
