HOSING RESTRICTIONS
DANGER OF LOW PRESSURE IN MAINS “There is plenty of water in the reservoir but the main is so small that if there is unrestricted hosing the pressure drops so low that the position is dangerous, both in regard to fire fighting and domestic services,” said the City Engineer, Mr C. I. Kidson, in commenting on the hosing restrictions which have come into force. All watering on Sundays is now prohibited, and hosing on Saturdays is reserved for a limited area on the high levels.
