PROPOSED INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION TO VISIT NELSON DISCUSSION WITH COLLEGE GOVERNORS A letter from the Director of Education, Dr C. E. Beeby stating that he would probably be unable to visit Nelson again before Christmas but that he would be glad t 9 discuss with the Council of Governors the whole matter of the establishment of an Intermediate School in Nelson before any major steps were taken, was read at last night’s meeting of the Nelson College Council of Governors. At the previous meeting of the council it was decided to invite the Director to visit Nelson and meet the governors in order to explain the details of the proposed establishment of an Intermediate School in Nelson and to give the governors an opportunity of discussing the subject with the Director and to state their views.
