The radio stated that the international situation summoned Turkey to total preparedness. Her present slogan was: “Live in peace and be ready to fight in the morning.” Eleven thousand have already volunteered for civil defence in Istanbul alone.
The blackout of civilian dwellings will be extended throughout Turkey oil Ist December.
