I SPORTS ON BOXING DAY Further preliminary arrangements for its Boxing Day sports meeting were made at a meeting of the Takaka Athletic and Cycling Club held in the Junction sample rooms on ? On the suggestion of Mr Hitchcock, 11 the Women's National Reserve is to ! be approached and offered the privi--1 lege free of charge of running the luncheon booth in aid of the patriotic j funds. ; Mr Hitchcock reported that he had ! arranged for the Oddfellows’ Hall for j the ball on the evening of sports day : and had engaged Reynish’s orchestra | to supply the music.
