FRENCH FORCES SUPPORTING VICHY [U.P.A.—By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] LONDON, 23rd October. Asked whether consideration would be given to proposals of suitable action against French forces supporting the Vichy Government who have been carrying out the systematic bombardment of Gibraltar recently, Mr Butler (Under-Foreign Secretary) replied: The honourable member may be sure we shall know how to deal with any further attacks by forces of the Vichy Government.”
