WAR WITH ITALY
MR CHURCHILL’S MESSAGE TO MR FRASER [United Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, has received the following cablegram from the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Mr Churchill:— “War with Italy. The United States Ambassador in London has been requested to notify the Italian Government that His Majesty’s Government in New Zealand associated itself with j His Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom. Have noted with deep | satisfaction the renewed assurance con- i veyed in your telegram of New Zea- i land’s determination to prosecute the i struggle in which we are engaged."
