TADMOR EFFORT
1 OVER £24 FOR PATRIOTIC FUNDS « A dance and Paddy’s market was J held recently in the Tadmor HaL which j < a large number of people from the sur- i rounding districts attended. The object! < in view was to raise money for the 4 Patriotic Fund. Dancing was indulged, | in and a bountiful supper provided, < after which a quantity of articles and i produce were auctioned. Many, j articles were handed back L be re- ( auctioned. The total sum realised was i i ; £24 4s 6d of which £4 10s came from | j the raffle of a pair of geese, won by Mr ! j H. Fawcett. J j The spirit of the evening was shown in the fact that no expenses were incurred as the hall, music, supper and ( goods were all generously donated. < Therefore the sum realised was paid in ] without any deductions. , The thanks of the local committee are extended to all those who contri- , buted in any way in making the eveni * n g a social and financial success.
