YOUTH RALLY
GATHERING AT MOTUEKA On Sunday afternoon about 70 young 3 people gathered at the Methodist n Church for a rally under the jurisdiction of the Motueka Interdenomi- • national Youth Council. The rally opened at 3.30 p.m. with a sing-song capably led by Mr E. C. _ Light of the Church of Christ, with Mr 6 J. K Woodley as organist. Miss Iris y McGlashsn, Presbyterian, acted as V chairwoman for the remainder of the service which commenced with the singing of the hymn “Youth of the World 1 Arise,” followed by a reading from r Luke 4: 1-22. The Rev. P. Kirkham (Anglican), then led in prayer, after which Mrs H. R. Holdaway, Methodist, gave a short talk introducing the topic which was to be discussed in study i groups afterwards. Those present were divided into eight groups, each with a leader and a helper. The subject was “In Whose Service Is Perfect Freedom.” Many helpful points were raised for discussion and it is felt that all who took part will have gained something thereby. All met together again for the final hymn after which as many as desired stayed to tea toi gether in the B.C. hall, and then all e were free to attend their respective _ churches for the evening service.
