WRESTLING IN NELSON
LOFTY BLOMFIELD TO MEET PAUL I BOESCH NEXT TUESDAY The Nelson Wrestling Association has ! received advice from the Dominion Wrestling Union that they have been j allotted a contest for next Tuesday, 4th I July, between Lofty Blomfield and Paul | Boesch. Followers of the sport in this I district will agree that the association lis most fortunate in securing the serj vices of two such high class perform- ! ers for their opening contest of the 1939 season. Boesch is wrestling at the I top of his form at present, his dropkicks being more spectacular and ef- | fective than at any time during hit I career, whilst Blomfield is bigger and j tcugher than ever. Four amateur contests will form the first portion of the programme, and a good night’s sport is assured. As this tournament is to take place at the Theatre Royal, where the accommodation is very limited, intending patrons are advised to make early reservations. As advertised, ladies will be admitted to any part of the theatra except ringside for a reduced charge. The box plan is now open at the Majestic Confectionary Shop.
