11 YEARS OF PROGRESS

BUILDING MODERNISED BY MESSRS VINING AND SCOTI The business organisations who add to the appearance of the city by the erection and modernisation of their premises are to be congratulated on their enterprise. Messrs Vining and Scott can have certainly done their share in this respect. The growth of this firm since its establishment eleven years ago is of interest to the motoring public. Founded by C. Scott and P. Vining in 1928. with the Hudson-Esscx agency, it is now an organisation employing a greatly increased staff, and carrying with it the Morris car and Morris commercial agency. Tracing the firm’s development from its inception in 1928 no startling progress was made until the taking up of the Morris agency in 1932, from which point remarkable headway was made under the able combination of the two founders, assisted by Mr G. Russell on the sales | side. Unfortunately Mr Scott's close at- | lion to duties told on his health, and hw vas compelled to retire in 1938 when the firm was taken over by Mr Vining, who formed it into a limited liability company. No doubt the association with Lord Nuffield’s products is a source of great and well deserved i satisfaction to the firm under review. ‘ In the modernised garage every consideration has been given in regard to service by the installation of modern equipment, including a fully equipped greasing bay. No doubt this will merit j the interest and patronage of a fair ; share of local business. W*» are informed that the premises will be thrown open to the publif on to-morrow( Friday) evening, when an opportunity will be afforded to those interested to , inspect the complete range of Morris i cars, the latest Hudson and the Morris ■ Commercial 3 —4 Ton Truck.*
