WINDOWS BROKEN
HAILSTONES SIZE OF EGGS
MORRINSVILLE, 13th June. An exceptionally heavy hailstorm was experienced in a portion of the Hereone district. Over a large area the fields and roads were white as if there had been a fall of snow. One farmer reports that he had 12 window’s broken and another had eight broken. In this part of Kereone the hailstones were 2in. in diameter and •were driven against the windows by the wind.
