SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES
20 PLAYERS TO TRAIN The following 20 players have been chosen by the senior selector (Mr M. A. Nightingale) to go into training, and from this number the team will be selected to defend the ' nrdon Cup:— Goalkeeper: Holland (Waimai). Backs: Frost (Federal), Hunter
(Wakatu), Powell, Guthrie (Stoke). Halves: Gibbons (Federal), Scholfield. Gribble (Stoke), Runell, Highet (Wakatu), Hill (Waimai). Forwards: Allport, Weston, Amos, Wilkinson, Corby (Stoke), Best, Aydon, Patterson (Federal), Thomas (Wakatu). The players will commence training at the Amateur Wrestling Club's Gymnasium at the Port next Thursday evening. Three challenges have already been received for the Nordon Cup, which is for competition among the minor associations. This was won by Nelson last year. The tentative dates are : Wairarapa : sth August. Southland : 19th August. Marlborough: Date not fixed.
