The council, which is the national administrate body of a section of the railway service representing 14,000 men, adopted unanimously the follow, ing resolution:— ’That the executive council of (he Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants protest against the attitude of the British Medical Association (N.Z.J in holding up the medical benefits of the Social Security Act and tliat the council recommends the membership to support those practitioners who are co-operating with the Government in the full administration of thi* humanitarian policy.”
