CRITICISM OF COMMITTEE LOW RETURN FOR APRIL SAL* (United Press Association! DUNEDIN. This Day. The Otago wool cheque for the four major sales of the season was £1,294,183 as against £1,364.659 in the previous season. The gross return from the April sale was the lowest, and brokers voice strong criticism of the wool committee in allowing unlimited sales in other centres in March, contending that large offerings then of 36,000 bales at Auck land and 31,000 Timaru, were dumpings which cauused the Dunedin sale to lag. It is urged that the March auctions at these places should be subject to the same restrictions as other*, and opportunity given for a final wash-up sale at the close of the roster.
