MODIFICATION OF POTATO EMBARGO
NEW ZEALAND OFFICIAL’S HOPE I' P A.—By Electric Telegraph —Onovrtirhtl SYDNEY, 15th April. Among the passengers aboard the Awatea, which left yesterday for Wellington, is Mr R. Tennant, of the New Zealand Department of Agriculture, who, before his departure, expressed the hope that the Commonwealth Government would extend its modification of the potato embargo for a further period to enable the South Island surplus crop to be marketed in Australia.
