GERMAN NAVAL MANOEUVRES
'MERELY A TRAINING CRUISE" BERLIN, 15th April. ( The Navy Department states that one pocket battleship is visiting Malaga and ' that the rest will remain in the North ' Atlantic, mostly in north Spanish 1 waters. The spokesman for the Navy Depart- - ment declared that it was foolish to as- ' sume that Germany was sending ships | to Spanish waters in anticipation of ] war. If trouble arose their first duty ■ would be to defend their own coast. j “We are planning no joint , manoeuvres with the Spanish fleet,” he ■ said. “It is merely a training cruise de- \ cided on months ago.”
