The Defence Department in a statement says that registration of Class A citizen force reservists is proceeding. This is the first step towards a more comprehensive registration scheme, features of which are the extension of compulsory registration to all citizens below 45, the compilation of a national reserve of all between 17 and 60, and recording all whose normal occupations may be regarded in wartime as key positions.
