BRITISH POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK £323,000.000 BALANCE NOW HELD (British Official Wireless! (Received 15th April, 12.10 p.m.) RUGBY. 14th April. Higher prosperity and increased holiday facilities npw available to workpeople in Britain are reflected in preEaster withdrawals from the Post Office Savings Bank, which touched £4.000,000, compared with £3,750.000 at the same time last year. The total balance now held by the Post Office Bank for its 11,520,000 depositors is over £523,000,000. an increase of £14.000,000 since the beginning of this year.
During the last twelve months over 7.1,000,000 individual deposits and ir.500,000 withdrawals were made.
