Forms for wedding reports nay be obtained from the Lady Editor. * * * Dr Agnes Bennett, of Wellington, who is well-known, throughout New Zealand will be leaving the country shortly for Australia, where she is to join the Flying Doctor, whose headquarters are in Darwin. At present she is learning to fly, in preparation for the new work she will be undertaking in Western Australia. ** * * Guests at the Masonic Hotel include Mrs J. Rowe and Miss P. Rowe, of Melbourne; Miss I. Platt-Hepworth, who is travelling with the former; Mr and Mrs Brown, Temuka; Mr and Mrs H. C. Bell, of Christchurch; Mr and Mrs A. Arrow, who come from Christchurch; and Mr and Mrs A. Marshall, who live at Greymouth. ** * * Mr and Mrs E. J. Shand, of Port Ligar; Mr and Mrs W. Reed, from Oxford; Mr and Mrs A. Clapham, who, with his wife and little daughter, is at present visiting Nelson, has lately returned on furlough from Palestine and the Near East, where he has spent the last 15 years in missionary activities. Mr Clapham has travelled widely in Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Syria and other lands and has a story brimful of interest. This, together with the fact that Palestine is at present figuring so prominently in the world’s affairs, has drawn large crowds to hear him speak. Mr Clapham, while in Nelson, is the guest of Mr and Mrs W. H. Green, of Rocks Road.
