Clapham, who, with his wife and little daughter, is at present visiting Nelson, has lately returned on furlough from Palestine and the Near East, where he has spent the last 15 years in missionary activities. Mr Clapham has travelled widely in Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Syria and other lands and has a story brimful of interest. This, together with the fact that Palestine is at present figuring so prominently in the world’s affairs, has drawn large crowds to hear him speak. Mr Clapham, while in Nelson, is the guest of Mr and Mrs W. H. Green, of Rocks Road.
