FAILING TO ACCOUNT
MAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE AUCKLAND, 13th April. Pleading guilty to a charge of fraudulently omitting to account for or pay sums totalling £IOO to the Dromorne Linen Company, thereby committing theft. James Archibald Henry Hardman, aged 29, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. “My reason for not paying the money into the office was that I was in debt. Hardman said in a statement produced by the police. "1 paid these debts with I the money collected, then bet on a raeeI horse to try to get my money back. The 1 money is all spent and I am unable to make restitution.”
