ANNIVERSARY HOLIDAY
MANY OUTDOOR FIXTURES There will be a large number of outdoor fixtures in the Nelson province to interest the public to-morrow, Anniversary Day, which will be a general holiday. The Nelson Trotting Club’s annual meeting will be concluded at Richmond Park. A beach gala arranged on an elaborate scale will be held at Motueka and the annual show of the Golden Bay A. and P. Association will be held at Takaka. A number of Sunday Schools and other organisations have arranged their annual picnics for to-morrow and most of the main picnic resorts in the district will be crowded with visitors. Summer sports bodies have arranged special fixtures, including a Town v. Country tennis match, and a number of inter-club cricket matches will be played. To-day’s sunny weather promises ideal conditions for the holiday.
