BETWEEN £3OOO AND £3OOO STOLEN iI 1 A --U.v Electric Telegraph Cod.v right! (Received 31st January, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Bank officials refuse to disclose the amount stolen from the St. Peter’s branch of the Bank of New South Wales, b it it is now stated to be between £2OOO and £3OOO. A message published yesterday stated that thieves broke into the St. Peter’s branch of the Bank of New South Wales during the night and cut a way into the safe with oxyacetylene flame. It was reported that £2OOO in notes and coin were on the premises. Three fully-loaded revolver were also stolen.
