(Tubingen*, pro-, fessor of chemistry at Lincoln College, j University of Oxford, who was a dele- j gate to the recent Science Congress in Canberra, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Awstea on a holiday visit to New Zealand. At the congress he delivered two papers on molecular j structure Professor Sidgwick will spend threeweeks in the Dominion, visiting Wellington. Nelson, the Franz Josef Glacier. Christchurch. Rotorua, and Auckland.: before returning to England via AmeHe was a member of the Advisory Council of the Department of Scientific a nr. lnduslria; Research, England, from 1930 to 1935; chairman of the Chemistry Research Board. 1932-35: president ol the Faraday Society. 1932-34: and president of the Chemical Society. 1935-37. , Other English delegates to the congress. in addition to Mr H. G. Wells, include: Sir John Russell. Director of Rothamsted Experimental Station, and of the Imperial Bureau of Soil Science: Professor F. T. Brooks, professor of botany in the University of Cambridge; and Sir John Flett. Director of the Geological Survey of Great Britain. Sir John Flett will visit New Zealand shortly.
