CONVENT OLD GIRLS
ANNUAL PICNIC AT EDEN’S BUSH MOST SUCCESSFUL OUTING The Convent Old Girls’ Association held its annual picnic during the weekend at Eden s Bush, Hope, and was very largely attended by the members and their friends. During the after-! noon, the Rev. Father Cullen and his j guests the Rev. Father Haniahan and I the Rev. Father Vebau, of Christchurch, j joined the picnickers, and spent a plea-;- 1 ant 2 or 3 hours chatting and watch- j the races, some cf which caused a great j deal of amusement. The committee extends its heartiest j thanks to Messrs I. Armstrong. E. j Barry. S. Croucher and J. Walker who worked so hard to make the picnic such a success. Two buses and a number of private motor cars conveyed the party, which had a very happy day with games, swimming and races. Results of the races were as follows: Gills’ Race; Shirley Webley 1.
