The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Racing Club opened to-day in fine weather with a fresh westerly breeze. Thrre was a good attendance for an off day, and the totalisator returns showed a slight increase, being £10.288 10s compared with £9228 10s on the first day last year, an increase of £ 1060.
