COTTON TRADE
IN UNSATISFACTORY CONDITION DEPUTATION TO MR CHAMBERLAIN I British Official Wireless! RUGBY. 25th January. A deputation representing the Lancashire cotton industry employers and trades unions waited on the Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, and presented a memorandum in which the unsatisfactory condition of the cotton tracks was emphasised, and support was given for the Cotton Industry Enabling Bill, w'hich, it was stated, would be of material aid to the industry and would ultimately enable it to face the future more confidently. Mr Chamberlain promised to consider carefully these representations.
