NELSON RUBBISH SERVICE

I To Tb* Editor! Sir,—As a ratepayer I also wish to enter a strong protest against a compulsory rubbish service which the Council are considering. I am in the same position as Mr C. N. Wilkinson. I burn all my burnable rubbish in a coke furnace and bury that which will rot. Each year lately the Council have given us one free service about Christmas time and all I have had is one sack of tins, etc., for which I am going to be charged 15s to £l. Nelson is one of the highest rated towns in New Zealand and the ratepayers should be up in arms against any increase in rates.—l am, etc., ANOTHER RATEPAYER. Nelson, 27th January.
