MR J. F. EAMES APPOINTED lUoitad Press Association) MASTERTON, This Day J. F. Eames was appointed to the position of Town Clerk by the Borough Council last night and will probably take up his new duties in April. Mr Eames is a married man, aged 45 years and is Town Clerk at Thames. He has had 28 years’ experience in local body work. For eleven years he was Assistant-Town Clerk at Christchurch. He was also a member of the Christchurch Unemployment Committee and acted as secretary for several years. For five years Mr Eames was Town Clerk and treasurer at Lower Hutt and for two years was Town Clerk at New Brighton and four years assistant Town Clerk at Lyttelton.
