GISBORNE RAM FAIR
SOUTHDOWNS IN STRONG DEMAND I United Free* Asaoriatmnl GISBORNE. 24th January. An unexpectedly strong demand occurred for flock Southdown rams at to-day’s Gisborne fair, values improving from one to two guineas on last year.
Top price was 10J guineas. Several pens sold between nine and 10 guineas. Six to eight guineas was a fairly common price. Two stud rams on account of Stanley Hughes, Maxwell, brought 30 guineas each.
