Progress has been well maintained iu the New Zealand croquet championships tournament in Palmerston North, which reached its sixth day to-day. The semifinalists in the level singles have been found. In the top half Mrs McCreath (Gore) will meet Mrs Duckworth (Palmerston North), the winner meeting Mrs Hill (Feilding) in the final. A westerly wind to-day affected the accuracy of shots, but the greens are standing up well to constant wear. Results : MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP Second Life Second round: Penn beat McCreath, 26-10.
