FALSE DECLARATION
BY MAORI RELIEF WORKERS (United Press Association! DARGAVILLE. 20th January. Two Maori relief workers, both supplying local dairy companies, one in his wife's name and the other in his daughter’s name, pleaded guilty before Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court on a charge of making false declarations under the Employment Promotion Act. Arthur Flavell Maropiu was fined the amount of excess payments, £33 13s 9d, and costs 10s, and George Warn Ruawai, who received excess payments amounting to £l7 17s sd, was fined £2O and costs 10s.
