VIOLIN GENIUS TO VISIT NELSON
Zoraida. the famous nineteen-year-old Violin Genius, who is to lour New Zealand under the direction of the Toledo Society, is scheduled to give a reeitul in the Theatre Royal on the 24th February. Zoraida, who is probably the greatest living interpreter of Franco* Belgium Music, is in every way one of the Romantic School. At an age when other children were still playing with toys, Zoraida found his pleasure in playing his violin for eight hours a day He made his debut at the age of twelve, when he astounded the most exacting critics with the depth and maturity of his renderings One of the true signs of his greatness is the reverence with which he approaches his art. He loves music and other things do not matter. He plays Sonatas with soberness and thoughtfulness, and Concert! with a grace and excellence which is incomparable.*
