The weather continues cold and uncertain, although the rainfall has not been heavy. A maximum temperature of only 62.2 degrees was recorded in Nelson yesterday, and at the Research Orchard. Redwood’s Valley, it was 60 3 degrees. During the night it fell to 35 degrees, 3 degrees above freezing point. However, the sun shone for 10 hou r s 45 minutes yesterday. A Ciiange from the south-westerly winds was experienced to-day, a light northerly breeze prevailing. The morning, bright at first, later became overcast. The barometer had risen still further to 29.63.
