SUPER-MARINE SPITFIRE FIGHTER
(British Official Wirelessl (Received 17th January, 12.32 p.m.) RUGBY, 16th January. The super-marine Spitfire fighter, which was on exhibition at the R.A F. stand at the Aero Show', made a flight f rom Le Bourget to Croydon to-day. Leaving Le Bouiget at 2.27 pm., the plane landed at Croydon at 3.8 p.m The average speed for the flight was 205 miles, ’ncluding climbing to a height of 18,000 feet, it was thus 300 miles an hour.
