OFFICIAL BAG INCIDENT
GOLDINGS FACING OFFICIAL TRIAL (Received 17th January, 9.35 a.m). LONDON, 16th January. The Australian Associated Press correspondent at Burgos has advised that the Goldings, together with the French wife of a Nationalist army officer, arrested also in connection with the official bag incident, is facing a public trial shortly. The Goldings have been granted proper facilities for defence. Negotiations are proceeding regarding a request that the Goldings be permitted to attend a British inquiry.
