THE WEATHER
CHANGEABLE AND SHOWERY The weather is forecast to be squally and rather changeable with occasional showers and possibly some hail; temperatures cool. A further ten points of rain fell yesterday, and conditions remained cold, the temperature not rising above 62.8 degrees. The periods of sunshine amounted to 7 hours. The night was almost wintry, the temperature falling to 36.6 degrees. The weather continued unpleasantly cold to-day, with a biting wind from the west, blowing from the snow which has again coated the ranges. There appeared to be more snow falling to-day. The barometer was rising to-day. Heavy, rough and very rough seas were reported on all coasts this morning. The weather varied throughout the Dominion from fine to overcast and showery
