PRETTY NELSON WEDDING

NOCK—KEENAN A pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Nelson, on Wednesday last, when Marney, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Keenan, of Nelson, was married to Randolph Aubrey, son of Mr ‘j. Nock, also of Nelson. The Rev. Father Cullen officiated at the ceremony and Miss Edith Frank played the wedding music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked very charming in a gown of cream embossed georgette, slightly fitting, and falling into a graceful train at the back. She wore a beautifully embroidered lace veil with a coronet of orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies and maidenhair fern. Miss Joan Keenan, who acted as her sister’s bridesmaid, was dressed in a frock of dainty pink taffeta and wore a silver Juliet cap mounted with tiny flowers. Her bouquet was composed cf pink carnations and maidenhair fern. Mr Arthur Kenard, of Christchurch, undertook the duties of best man and carried them out very ably. At the reception held later at the Mia Mia Tea Rooms, the bride’s mother received her guests’ who numbered fifty, wearing a smart pin-striped black costume, with wide-brimmed black straw’ hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of bright flowers. When the bridal couple left for the North Island by boat the same evening, they were given a rousing farewell by their many friends in Nelson. Mrs Nock chose a pink suit with black accessories for her travelling costume. Mr and : Mrs R. A.' Nock will make their future home in Christchurch.
