MINISTER’S APPEAL SUCCESS OF ROAD SAFETY WEEK fUnited Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. Appreciation of the wonderful 1 assistance received from public and private organisations throughout New Zealand in the organisation of Road Safety Week was expressed by the I Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Transport who said that a remarkable feature of j the week was the period of five days: free from fatal accident. Mr Semple j appeals for the exercise of the greatest j care on the part of motorists during I the holidays and urges them to see that 1 their cars are in good condition and I that the motorists themselves are fit before starting long drives. He makes a special appeal to all motorists to keep off the roads if they partake of alcohol on Christmas Eve.
