This Day, The Capetown correspondent of "The Times” states that the most remarkable civil action in South Africa opened in the Supreme Court, when Mrs Fanny Herman sued James William Hodgson for £3OOO damages, alleging the murder of her husband, a pawnshop manager. Hodgson was acquitted of the murder charge and the widow is taking civil action on the allegation of unlawful killing.
