NAVAL MARCH PAST
COMPLEMENT OF H.M.S. ACHILLES lUmied Preas Association! AUCKLAND, This Day. After marching up Queen street to the Town Hall early this afternoon the officers and men of H.M.S. Achilles were tendered a civic farewell b.v the Mayor. Sir Ernest Davis, and a large gathering of citizens. The cruiser, which is the flagship of the New Zealand station, leaves Auckland on Friday morning for England to be refitted. She will return to New Zealand next year on a new commission. It is anticipated that its company then will be almost entirely New Zealand ratings. The officers and most of the Imperial ratings will be transferred to other ships. The march through the city was viewed by large crowds of citizens.
