SYNAGOGUE DYNAMITED
DEMONSTRATIONS IN JOHANNESBURG JOHANNESBURG, 26th November. The Benoni synagogue was dynamited and partly destroyed, there being accompanying demonstrations against the Jews. The Mayor of Benoni was not invited to the Voortrekker foundation stone ceremony. Several rioters were fined. A message from Cape Town states tnat the Government is determined to crush the anti-semitic outburst, which was deliberately planned by the distribution of provocative pamphlets.
